Financial Officer and Head of Corporate Services
at the Saudi Arabian General Investment
Authority (SAGIA), which is the government
agency responsible for promoting investments in
the Kingdom and improving its investment
environment.
At SAGIA, Al-Rasheed is responsible for the
creation of several private equity investment
vehicles aimed at mobilizing sector-specific
investments and promoting entrepreneurial
activity in the Kingdom. Over the past year he
has facilitated the creation of five investment
vehicles with a total value of more the $1.5
billion. In addition, he is responsible for
promoting the financial services and insurance
sectors in the Kingdom. Prior to joining SAGIA,
Al-Rasheed worked for Saudi Aramco�s finance
division in several functions including
investments, cash management, and corporate
finance.
Al-Rasheed has a Masters of
Business Administration from the Stanford
Business School and a Bachelors of Science in
Business Administration, with concentrations in
Finance and International Business, from
Washington University in St. Louis.
